Feisty Likes Food: A Feisty Friday

Gosh what a day! I went over 17 hours without food to give my body a break before this afternoon and was it worth it? Hell yes!
It all started at around 2.30pm with a trip to my favourite burger place in WA- Grill'd Burgers in Mount Lawley. I used to be a loyal HJ's follower until I was exposed to the Grill'd religion and now I am a devout follower. I love the location, the menu choices and the fact that you can chop and change things around when you feel like it.
Here is an example. For those who are a bit carnivorous, this is a Front Bar but instead of having it in ciabatta bread like normal, I chose to put it in a wholemeal bun- you know, cos it's healthier ;)
Here we have steak, egg, steak again, beetroot relish, tomato relish, tomato, greens and mustard. The only downside is the beetroot relish juice runs down your arms or makes an attractive puddle on your plate when you eat it so my advice is if you are going here on a date, don't get beetroot relish or wear lipstick. Fortunately the people I was with today are used to seeing me in the throes of burger consumption and turn a blind eye :)

My second stop this afternoon was to my favourite beverage place, 5 Bar. I love the eclectic decor, the awesome staff and the fact that it is never wall to wall bodies. I feel comfortable bringing Natey here at any time and he loves that they have a variety of games behind the bar. I am becoming an UNO boss.
Apart from the fact that they have my favourite sandwich, the Reuben (which I would have taken a picture of had I not had the burger just before), they have a delightful french cider that they serve in a wine glass with ice. It's called C'idrerie d'Anneville which I have no idea how to pronounce but it's nice that I never have to because Emma and Andy always know which one I'm talking about :)

They also do great hand cut chips with a Romesco dip...

Next stop, Jaws Mint. I  remember how excited I was when I went to my first sushi train about 15 years ago (I was 10) and my love for raw fish on the move has never waned. This Jaws is about 2 minutes walk from my house and does a crab sushi that is to die for. They also do great sashimi and an awesome creme brulee. I didn't think creme brulee was very Japanese but hell I'm not complaining one bit!

But wait there's more....
Last but certainly not least is the most exciting thing today, probably because I just discovered it. Have a look for yourself:

IKR- it's a jug of vodka with fresh apples and strawberries! They also do ginger, orange and kiwi and a Cosmo flavour. Found at none other than the Royal in East Perth, I think it is going to become one of my go-to's for drinkies in the summer. It's $40.00 a jug but after sharing one I was a bit happy. Damn Asian genes- I'm a Cadbury kid.

That's it for now. And if you think this is a lot, think of what I can consume over a whole day :)
